Goals and Desired Outcomes

The Gupta Family Hackathon for Health Communication is intended to explore challenges and solutions for optimizing and improving health communication between a range of different groups, such as researchers, the media, policy makers, clinicians, and public audiences, including patients.

Hackers are expected to work on a variety of health communication challenges, which may result in a range of different types of solutions. All problems and solutions should be related to the communication or exchange of health information.

Deliverables may include plans for developing apps, infographics, or other communication materials; strategies to optimize the process of dialogue and public understanding on health topics; as well as countless other outcomes. As part of their solutions, hackers should include communication strategies for dissemination to appropriate audiences, in order to maximize impact.
